Chewy Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/4 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. raisins
1 c. granulated sugar
2 c. oatmeal
1 c. nuts

Preparation

Cream shortening with sugar and vanilla.
Add beaten eggs. Dissolve soda in boiling water.
Mix flour, oats, raisins and nuts to first mixture.
Drop onto greased cookie sheet by teaspoon. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350\u00b0.
