Ingredients

1/4 c. butter or margarine
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 egg yolk
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolk, nutmeg, baking soda and flour.
Stir in milk and vanilla until a stiff dough forms.
Chill 15 minutes, if desired.
Roll out on lightly floured board; cut with round cookie cutter about 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 5 to 8 minutes or until brown.
