Pamadour Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 egg yolks
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 sq. baking chocolate
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. milk
    3 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Scald, then cool milk.
    Combine sugar, egg yolks, cornstarch, salt and vanilla and add to milk.
    Stir constantly over low heat until thick.
    Pour into casserole.
    Cover with meringue made by melting together 2 squares chocolate, sugar and milk.
    When cool, add this to stiffly beaten egg whites and vanilla.
    Bake pudding in a pan of water about 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
