Meringue Blossoms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1 c. powdered sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla or peppermint extract
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Whip egg whites until frothy.
    Beat in sugar gradually.
    Beat mixture until it forms stiff peaks.
    Drop from a spoon or pipe from a pastry bag with star tip onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    Turn heat off in prepared oven and put in cookie sheet.
    Do not open oven door for 1 1/2 hours or preferably overnight.
    Cool and store in tins.
    Serves 20.
