Easy Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. raisins or substitute
    1/2 c. raisins
    1 c. candied fruit
    2 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. Crisco
    1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1 Tbsp. cold water
    3 c. flour
Preparation
    Combine in 4-quart saucepan the sugar, raisins or substitute, raisins and candied fruit.
    Add boiling water, cinnamon, salt and Crisco.
    Mix well and bring to a boil.
    Boil for 5 minutes.
    Chill thoroughly and add baking soda and water.
    Mix well and add flour. Mix well and pour in 8 x 10-inch greased pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 about 1 hour.
