Venison Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 or 4 lb. venison (chuck or rump)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    2 medium onions, chopped
    2 Tbsp. bacon fat
    3 c. boiling water
    6 potatoes
    2 carrots, chopped
Preparation
    Salt and pepper meat.
    Coat with flour.
    Brown meat and onion in fat.
    Add water.
    Cover and simmer for 3 hours.
    Add more water, if necessary.
    Add potatoes and cook for 30 minutes, or until potatoes and carrots are tender.
    Serves 6.
