Ingredients

1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. vinegar
2 Tbsp. margarine
1 tsp. minced onion
3 c. hot beets, sliced or diced
Preparation

In a large saucepan, mix sugar, salt and cornstarch; stir in vinegar.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and thickened.
Add butter, onions and beets.
Heat for 20 minutes.
