Nutmeg Feather Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 beaten eggs
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well.
    Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk and vanilla. Bake in 2 greased and floured square layer cake pans in a 350\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes.
