Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
16 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained (reserve juice)
1 egg
4 c. diced apples
8 oz. bowl whipped topping
1 to 2 c. cocktail peanuts
Preparation

Mix sugar, flour, vinegar, reserved pineapple juice and egg in top of double boiler.
Cook until mixture is thickened.
Chill until mixture is cool.
Dice apples.
Add apples and pineapple to cooled mixture.
Fold in whipped topping.
Add the cocktail peanuts just before serving.
