French Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    1 1/2 c. warm milk
    5 or 6 c. all-purpose or bread flour
    4 Tbsp. oil
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 egg white
    1 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water; add milk, oil, salt and sugar. Stir until sugar and salt is dissolved.
    Pour flour into large bowl; pour liquid into flour and work until dough becomes stiff. Knead by hand for 5 minutes.
    Put dough into greased bowl; grease top of dough.
    Cover with towel and let rise until double in size. Remove from bowl and punch down.
    Divide into 4 pieces and shape into long loaves.
    Brush with egg white and 1 tablespoon water. Let rise again for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Preheat oven to 475\u00b0.
    Bake about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
