Ingredients

1 c. butter (2 sticks)
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
4 oz. German sweet chocolate, melted
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Blend in vanilla and add chocolate.
Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
