Ingredients

7/8 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. milk
4 oz. butter or meat drippings
Preparation

Place flour and salt in bowl and make a well in the center into which pour milk.
Beat until fluffy.
Beat eggs lightly.
Stir into batter.
Add water and continue beating until mixture light and fluffy.
Permit to stand for 1 hour (optional).
Beat it again. Have ready hot oven-proof dish (about 10 x 10-inch) containing about 1/4 inch melted butter or hot beef drippings.
Pour in batter.
It should be about 5/8 inch high.\tBake the pudding in hot oven, 400\u00b0, for about 20 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake 10 - 15 minutes longer.
