Orange Pecan Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 egg yolks
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. each: soda and salt
    1 c. orange marmalade
    2 egg whites
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    pecan halves
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg yolks and vanilla.
    Add sifted flour with soda and salt.
    Press into bottom and sides of 9-inch pie pan.
    Spread marmalade on top.
    Sprinkle on pecans. Top with stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Arrange pecan halves on top. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon sugar.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until meringue is lightly browned.
