Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak, cut into strips
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. sliced onion
    6 Tbsp. butter
    3/4 c. water
    1 can sliced mushrooms
    1 c. sour cream
    cooked noodles or rice
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Dredge beef in flour and brown in butter. Cook onions in butter until limp. Add seasonings and water. Simmer, covered, for 45 minutes or until tender. Stir in soup and mushrooms and cook for 30 minutes. Stir in sour cream. Heat but do not boil. Serve over noodles or rice.
