French Breakfast Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. soft shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. margarine, melted
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix together shortening, 1/2 cup sugar and egg.
    Sift together the flour, salt, baking powder and nutmeg.
    Stir dry ingredients alternately with milk into creamed mixture.
    Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full.
    (I use the tiny muffins and the recipe yields about 36.)
    Bake in 400\u00b0 oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
