Cracklin Cornbread - cooking recipe

2 c. self-rising yellow meal
1 1/4 c. milk (whole or powdered milk)
2 eggs
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. cracklins, chopped up
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0. Mix lightly. Grease iron frying pan (medium size). Cook until top and side are brown and crisp.
