Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cooked rice
    1/2 c. butter
    1 can mushrooms (save liquid)
    1/4 c. pimento, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. slivered almonds
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1/4 c. flour
    1 1/4 c. cooked chicken, chopped or 1 whole fryer, cooked and chopped
    2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 c. light cream or half and half
Preparation
    Saute onion until tender in butter.
    Remove from heat and stir in flour.
    Drain mushroom liquid and add enough chicken broth to make 1 1/4 cups.
    Add cream gradually, stirring until thickened. Add rest of ingredients and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until brown.
