Apple Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 egg
    3 Tbsp. water
    6 c. slices apples
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix first 5 ingredients like pie crust.
    Divide in half and roll for bottom of 10 x 15-inch jelly roll pan.
    Place apple slices on crust.
    Mix last 4 ingredients in saucepan.
    Boil until slightly thickened.
    Pour over apples.
    Roll out second crust. Place over apples.
    Make a few slits in top crust.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
    Frost while still warm with a thin powdered sugar icing.
