Maple-Sugared Pears - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 to 12 pear halves
    1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1/4 c. pear juice or water
    maple syrup
    cinnamon
    pecans
Preparation
    Combine pear juice, brown sugar and oil in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil.
    Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice, maple syrup and cinnamon.
    Arrange pear halves, cut side up, in a small, shallow baking dish.
    Sprinkle with pecans.
    Pour brown sugar mixture over pears and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Serves 4.
