Ingredients

1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Sift flour; measure and resift 3 times with baking powder, soda and salt. Add buttermilk and mix lightly with fork. Turn out on a floured board. Knead lightly 4 or 5 times and roll to 1/2-inch thick. Cut into rectangles, 1 x 3-inches, with floured knife. Drop into boiling chicken broth. Cover and boil gently for 12 minutes. Do not uncover during cooking. Serve immediately.
