Date Pinwheels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. soft butter
    1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream
    butter;
    add sugars, vanilla and egg.
    Beat until light.
    Add
    sifted
    dry ingredients and mix well.
    Chill until firm enough to roll.
    Halve dough and roll each half on floured waxed
    paper.
    Spread
    with filling.
    Roll up tightly from end. Wrap
    in
    wax paper.
    Chill overnight.
    Freeze for easier slicing. Slice
    and bake on greased cookie sheet at 375\u00b0 for about 10 minutes.
    Store in airtight container.
