Italian Cream Cheese Cake - cooking recipe

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
1 stick oleo
5 eggs, separated
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. plain flour
1 can coconut
Preparation

Cream oleo, Crisco, sugar and salt.
Add egg yolks and add soda to buttermilk.
Add flour and milk, alternating.
Add vanilla, pecans and coconut.
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter.
Bake in 3 layers at 325\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
