Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. cornmeal (self-rising)
3/4 c. flour (self-rising)
1/4 c. sugar
1 onion, chopped
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. milk

Preparation

Mix all ingredients.
Do not overbeat.
Drop into hot 350\u00b0 oil and fry until hush puppies float to the top.
You may need to turn over several times.
Drain and serve hot.
