Texas Hash - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, sliced
1 green bell pepper, chopped
16 oz. can tomatoes
1/2 c. uncooked rice
2 tsp. salt
1 to 2 tsp. chili powder
1/8 tsp. black pepper
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In large skillet, cook and stir meat, onion and bell pepper until meat is brown and vegetables are tender.
Drain off grease.
Stir in tomatoes, rice, salt, chili powder and black pepper; heat through.
Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole dish.
Cover and bake in oven for 1 hour.
