Peanut Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    1 c. white Karo
    4 1/2 c. peanuts
    1/2 stick oleo
    1 to 2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook peanuts at 325\u00b0 until done (toasted).
    Mix sugar, water and Karo.
    Cook mixture, stirring constantly, until it starts to boil.
    Let it boil until it reaches 236\u00b0 on a candy thermometer (or until it forms soft ball in cup of cold water).
    Take off heat and add oleo and vanilla.
    Beat until it starts to thicken.
    Add peanuts.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper.
