Economical Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. shortening
    2 1/4 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    3 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time.
    Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add alternately with milk and vanilla to first mixture.
    Pour batter into greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
