Caramel Cereal Pops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. vanilla caramels
    1/4 c. milk
    4 c. crisp rice cereal
    1 c. salted peanuts
    16 wooden sticks
Preparation
    In heavy 3-quart saucepan, combine caramels and milk.
    Cook and stir over low heat until caramels are melted and smooth.
    Stir in the cereal and peanuts until well coated with caramel mixture. Press the cereal mixture into a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan. Let stand about 1 hour or until firm.
    Cut into 2-inch squares. Insert a wooden stick into one end of each square.
    Makes 16 pops.
