Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. white Karo syrup
    1/2 c. water
    3 c. raw peanuts
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Combine sugar, Karo syrup and water in a heavy saucepan and boil to 250\u00b0.
    Add raw peanuts and butter and continue boiling to 300\u00b0.
    Remove from heat and add 2 teaspoons soda.
    Stir vigorously and spread thinly on 2 well-greased cookie sheets. When cool, break candy into pieces and store in pan in an airtight container.
