Rich Shortcake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
1 well beaten egg
1/2 c. milk
strawberries
Cool Whip
Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder, sugar and salt; cut in shortening until mixture is like coarse crumbs.
Combine egg and milk; add to sifted dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
Place in greased pan and bake at 450\u00b0 for 20 minutes; cool.
Prepare strawberries and put on top of piece of cake; cover with Cool Whip.
