Sea Island Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp. water
1 c. sifted self-rising flour
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. shredded coconut
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease a 9-inch square baking pan; set aside.
Melt butter.
Add sugars and water; blend well.
Stir in flour.
Add egg and vanilla; blend thoroughly.
Add nuts, coconut and chocolate chips; blend well.
Pour into prepared pan.
Bake 30 minutes.
Cool in pan.
Cut into bars.
Makes 16 bars.
