Tomato Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. bacon (8 slices)
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    3 tomatoes, peeled and quartered
    5 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. diced celery
    1/2 c. diced carrot
    1 potato, sliced
    2 ears corn (off cob)
    1 c. green beans
Preparation
    Cook bacon; reserve 2 tablespoons fat.\tCook vegetables at low temperature for about 1 hour.
    Add bacon and fat.
