Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 c. regular rice (uncooked)
    1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato puree
    grated Cheddar cheese
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown beef.
    Season to taste.
    Place meat in casserole dish. Sprinkle with onion and celery.
    Place rice over vegetables.
    Mix chili powder in tomato sauce and puree.
    Pour over mixture.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours or until rice is cooked. Sprinkle cheese over top and bake just until cheese melts.
    Serves 6 to 8.
