Raw Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. raw apples, diced
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
Add eggs and beat well. Sift dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture.
Add apples and nuts.
(Mixture will be thick.)
Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan for 35 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Forms a thin crust on top and need no icing unless desired.
