Frozen Strawberry Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites, beaten stiff
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sugar
    1 pt. thawed strawberries
    1 (8 oz.) tub Cool Whip
    vanilla wafers
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until stiff, then add vanilla; add 1 cup sugar gradually.
    Then add 1 pint thawed strawberries, juice and all. Continue beating at high speed for 15 minutes.
    Add Cool Whip. Fold into mixture.
    Crush vanilla wafers and put in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Save some for top.
    (Put in freezer.
    Ready to serve as soon as set.)
