Creamed Chicken And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    chicken thighs or legs
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    shortening (enough for frying)
    1 c. rice
Preparation
    Flour the chicken pieces and place them in a
    frying pan with shortening already hot.
    Brown the chicken on all sides.
    Set aside. When all pieces have been browned, pour all grease off. Add the cream of mushroom soup to the pan.
    Return the fried chicken to the pan and let the chicken simmer for about 20 minutes. Prepare the rice according to cooking directions. When chicken is tender (use a fork to test), remove from heat. Place rice on platter and pour creamed chicken over it.
    Or place creamed chicken in separate container (preferably a platter) and place rice in bowl.
    Let individuals serve themselves, placing creamed chicken over the rice.
