Sausage Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. Italian sausage
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 small carrot, chopped
    1 large garlic clove, minced
    1 bay leaf
    2 cans chicken broth
    1 can tomatoes, chopped
    1 c. water
    3/4 c. lentils
    1/4 c. Dijon mustard
Preparation
    Brown scrambled sausage.
    Drain fat.
    Add the next nine ingredients.
    Cover and simmer 1 hour or until lentils and vegetables are tender.
    Stir in the mustard.
    Remove bay leaf before serving.
