Herring Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    summer sausage
    ham
    cooked veal
    dill pickles
    onions
    3 potatoes, cooked (absorb fish)
    3 apples, seeded (not peeled, large)
    1 jar capers
    1 large jar creamed or marinated herring, cut (reserve some of the juice)
Preparation
    Mix together; add a little of the juice and a little mayo* for moisture.
    Eat as side dish with rye bread or snack.
