Butterscotch Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    2/3 c. white corn syrup
    1/3 c. water
    1/4 c. butter
    2/3 c. evaporated milk
    dash of salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Put sugar, corn syrup, water and butter in a saucepan.
    Boil to soft boil stage (236\u00b0).
    Cool, then beat in the evaporated milk, a little salt and vanilla.
    Stir in nuts and serve on ice cream, pudding or cake.
    Makes 2 cups.
