Waldorf Red Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. plus 1 Tbsp. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1 tsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. red food coloring
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. water
Preparation

Cream Crisco, sugar, eggs and vinegar.
Make paste of food coloring and cocoa.
Add paste to creamed mixture.
Sift flour with salt.
Add alternately with buttermilk to creamed mixture. Add soda and vanilla.
Bake for 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
