Smothered Hamburger Steaks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 pkg. brown gravy mix
    1 large onion, sliced
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Season hamburger with salt and pepper.
    Shape into 4 large patties and brown in large skillet.
    Mix brown gravy mix with water it calls for plus 1/2 cup extra and bring to boil according to directions.
    Drain off grease from hamburgers.
    Pour gravy over hamburgers.
    Slice onion.
    Place over burgers.
    Bring to boil. Cover pan and simmer for 15 minutes.
