Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak
    flour
    salt
    pepper
    garlic powder
    3 c. water
    8 oz. tomato sauce
    vegetable oil
    sliced onion (optional)
Preparation
    Dredge steak in flour and seasoning mixture.
    Fry in hot oil until lightly browned on both sides.
    When all steak has been browned, place in skillet, cover with water and tomato sauce and season to taste.
    Cover and simmer over medium heat for about 1 hour or until meat is tender.
    Stir occasionally.
    Add onion slices for extra flavor before you cover and simmer.
