Spaghetti Meatballs And Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 onion
3 Tbsp. oil
2 small cans tomato paste
3 small paste cans of water
1 large (No. 2 size) can stewed tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp. salt
4 large Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. pepper
sweet basil
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. garlic salt or 3 cloves garlic
pinch of oregano
3 bay leaves

Preparation

Finely chop onion and lightly brown in saucepan in oil.
Add tomato paste with 3 paste cans of water and stewed tomatoes.
Let simmer for 1/2 to 1 hour, adding warm water to keep level.
Add salt, sugar, pepper, sweet basil, garlic salt (or garlic cloves), oregano and bay leaves.
Let simmer 1/2 hour and add warm water as needed.
Add meatballs.
