Raspberry Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    3 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    3 c. flour
    1 c. raspberry jam
Preparation
    Cream the butter, sugar and eggs, adding eggs one at a time. Add soda to the milk.
    Add sifted dry ingredients and add buttermilk alternately to creamed mixture.
    Mix jam in.
    Pour into two 9-inch layer pans and bake until it tests done.
