Caramel Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    4 Tbsp. corn syrup
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts, chopped (optional)
Preparation
    Melt butter in saucepan.
    Remove from heat. Blend in sugar. Cool a bit.
    Add beaten eggs and syrup. Add dry ingredients, nuts and vanilla.
    Pour into ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Don't overbake.
