Polish Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    5 large eggs, well beaten
    1 c. milk
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
    1 tsp. salt
    1 lb. confectioners sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    3 c. flour
    6 oz. maraschino cherries, well drained
    1/2 c. most shredded coconut
    confectioners sugar for dusting
Preparation
    Cream butter well.
    Work in sugar gradually.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add vanilla.
    Add milk alternately with flour and baking powder (combined).
    Fold in cherries, coconut and nuts.
    Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Cool and dust with confectioners sugar.
