Old Fashion Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

4 large eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg, if desired
2 2/3 c. milk

Preparation

Beat eggs, sugar and salt together.
Add nutmeg, vanilla and milk, beating well.
Pour into pastry lined pie pan.
Bake about 40 minutes or until knife inserted in sides comes out clean.
Bake in hot oven at 450\u00b0 for first 15 minutes, then moderate oven (350\u00b0) to finish.
