Favorite Fried Onion Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 extra large Spanish onion or 3 large Bermuda onions
    about 1 qt. milk
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Peel onion; cut into 1/4-inch slices and separate into rings. Place rings in large bowl.
    Cover with milk.
    Refrigerate 30 minutes.
    Drain on paper towels, reserving 2/3 cup milk.
    Combine flour and salt; stir well.
    Add eggs, reserved milk and 1 tablespoon oil; beat until smooth.
