Nelson Family Pepparkakor Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. light Karo syrup
    2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1/2 lb. margarine or butter
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    7 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cook syrup and spices.
    Let cool.
    Mix margarine and sugar until smooth. Add to syrup mixture.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add flour, soda and salt. Mix well. Refrigerate overnight.
    Roll 1/16-inch of 1-inch and cut out Christmas shapes.
    Bake 5 to 8 minutes.
    Watch carefully.
