Ingredients

4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
several large outside lettuce leaves
2 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 Tbsp. snipped chives
Preparation

In large skillet with tight fitting lid, melt 1 tablespoon butter.
Spread 2 or 3 lettuce leaves in skillet.
Add peas and chives.
Sprinkle with salt, sugar and pepper.
Dot with remaining 3 tablespoons butter.
Cover; cook over low heat for 30 minutes, or until peas are tender.
To serve, discard lettuce leaves. Serves 8.
