Hot Mulled Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. cider
    1/2 c. light brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. whole cloves
    2 pieces stick cinnamon
Preparation
    Heat the tea pot by rinsing with hot water.
    Bring fresh water nearly to a boil.
    Put 1 tablespoon dried or 2 tablespoons fresh herb leaves per cup into the tea pot.
    Add water and let steep for about 5 minutes.
    Cover the pot to enhance the flavor and retain the heat.
